▼Today I’m bringing you a look at Dr. Wu’s new release — the ultra-small-scale Warpath & Scourge set.
I’ve been keeping an eye on this set ever since the official images were revealed, mainly because I really like the character Warpath. I’ve lost count of how many versions have already featured his signature “chest-firing cannon.” Let’s see how this one performs — follow along with the review and let’s find out.
The box follows Dr. Wu’s usual micro-scale design style. It features illustrations of Warpath and Scourge, divided diagonally by contrasting background colors — giving a nice red-vs-blue feel. The upper-left corner has the “Extreme Mini” series logo, while the bottom-right corner bears the Dr. Wu logo.
On the back of the box, we see product photos of Warpath and Scourge, along with handling notes for the micro-scale series.

▼Inside the box you’ll find: Warpath figure, Scourge figure, Scourge’s small blaster, Two character cards, Two instruction manuals.

▼This Warpath looks quite on point. The head sculpt is tiny but not crude, and the blue-and-white paint around the eyes is clean with no noticeable overspray.
Compared to the cartoon design, the toy — due to its transformation structure — looks like it’s wearing a white vest. The treads under the forearms are also slightly larger than in the animation. Of course, in the cartoon they could shrink with Cybertronian compression technology — something the toy can’t replicate. The treads are big enough already, and since they stick out a bit at the elbows, they look like they could deliver quite the elbow strike. Man!

▼The backpack cleanup is handled quite well. Although Warpath’s back isn’t particularly difficult to manage, this tiny version looks just as good as some Deluxe-class designs.
If anything could be improved, it would be filling in the hollow area at the lower back.

▼Warpath’s arms can rotate vertically and lift sideways about 90 degrees. The elbows can swivel and bend slightly over 90 degrees.The legs can kick forward, backward, and sideways slightly past 90 degrees; knees bend a bit over 90 degrees; and the feet can tilt inward for grounding.Aside from lacking head rotation and thigh swivel, the articulation is roughly on par with a Core-class figure.

▼The transformation isn’t difficult — you can remember it after one go following the manual.
However, Warpath comes packaged in vehicle mode, while the instructions show robot-to-vehicle transformation, so for the first transformation you’ll need to mentally reverse the steps.
In vehicle mode, it looks a bit super-deformed (chibi-style) and quite cute. The turret can rotate and elevate. At first, I thought the white section behind the turret looked odd, but after checking the animation, I found that this white structure really is there.

▼Scourge is slightly larger than Warpath and has more paint applications and details.The head sculpt captures his iconic “beard,” and the red eye paint looks great.The hands are molded as fists; personally, I think semi-open claws showing Scourge’s red fingers would look more dynamic.

▼The back consists mostly of the ship shell parts, and from here you can clearly see the overall transformation layout.
At such a small scale, aiming for perfect accuracy isn’t realistic, so as long as it doesn’t look cluttered, that’s already impressive.

▼Scourge’s head can rotate. The arms can rotate vertically and lift about 90 degrees. The elbows can swivel and bend around 90 degrees.
The waist can rotate. The legs can kick forward and backward nearly 90 degrees and sideways about 90 degrees. The knees can swivel and bend close to 90 degrees, and the feet can tilt inward.
Overall, Scourge’s articulation is comparable to that of mainstream transforming figures — even better than many Core-class toys.

▼Since the hands are molded as fists, the gun handle is designed in a reverse way — shaped like a clip that attaches directly to the hand. It looks quite natural and doesn’t feel out of place.

▼Scourge’s transformation is also straightforward — mainly a “shell-former” approach.For an ultra-small-scale figure, the spaceship mode — though a bit super-deformed — is impressively complete, with limbs well hidden.The only minor drawback is that the weapon can’t be stored, but that’s forgivable at this size.

▼This Warpath and Scourge set continues Dr. Wu’s usual style — simple transformations while maintaining both modes’ overall completeness.Both figures feel small yet refined, great for casual handling, and they can also fit nicely into dioramas with larger figures.If you’re looking for small toys to fiddle with, this set is definitely worth recommending.
