Today we’re taking a look at a new release from Galaxy Toys: the ultra-small-scale Bluestreak. Compared to Galaxy Toys’ original color and metallic Optimus Prime figures, while previous products were very small in size, they were still fun to play with and not difficult to transform—making them great as pocket toys. This time, after designing this small car mold, the company didn’t go with more popular characters like Prowl or Smokescreen first, but instead released the relatively lesser-known Bluestreak. It’s unclear what the reasoning behind this release order was. So how does the figure actually perform? Let’s dive into the review.
▼The packaging continues Galaxy Toys’ usual style. The front of the box prominently features a 2D illustration of Bluestreak, with the Galaxy Toys logo in the top-left corner. On the back is the alt mode illustration, and the upper right features a street sign that also includes the Galaxy Toys branding—quite a nice design touch.

▼Inside the box, you get the Bluestreak figure, a pair of shoulder cannons, a small gun, and a full-color instruction manual. Galaxy Toys has finally included a paper manual this time, and it even includes written steps for transformation. I think having descriptions is really necessary, as many transformation steps can’t be clearly conveyed through pictures alone. The sample used in the manual is Prowl, which suggests that Prowl may be the next release.
Because Bluestreak contains quite a bit of die-cast metal, the figure, despite its small size, has a surprising heft—it really feels like a metal toy.

▼For such a small scale, Bluestreak’s head sculpt is quite well done. The face is painted with metallic paint, and the eyes are painted blue. However, the face paint is uneven, and there’s some blue paint bleed around the eyes. This has been a recurring issue with Galaxy Toys, and I hope the company can improve this in future products. A more refined head sculpt would significantly boost the toy’s overall impression.

▼The robot mode looks very similar to the Siege Prowl mold, and the transformation concept is basically the same—we’ll talk more about that later. Compared to the Siege mold, Galaxy Toys made some changes to the chest joints, allowing the car front to compress inward for a more balanced body proportion. The legs are almost identical to Siege Prowl. I think adding more detailing to the red parts of the waist and thighs would improve the figure’s visual appeal.
![MINI04 Bluestreak vehicle mode showing sleek aerodynamic sports car design MINI04 Bluestreak vehicle mode showing sleek aerodynamic sports car design]()
▼The back of the figure is clean and tidy. The car shell on the back is well within an acceptable range in size, and there’s virtually no excess. Although the legs have some hollow areas due to the transformation design, the joints are well-tuned and tight, so it doesn’t affect posing or playability.

▼The head can rotate and tilt up at a large angle. The arms can rotate vertically and raise outwards well past 90 degrees. The upper arms rotate, and the elbows bend close to 180 degrees. The waist can rotate, and the legs can kick forward slightly over 90 degrees, though they can’t kick back. The thighs can rotate, and the knees bend well past 90 degrees. The feet can tilt forward, backward, and inward for ground contact. Overall, Bluestreak’s articulation is on par with official Generations figures. Other than the lack of wrist swivel, there are no major issues.

▼Accessories include the shoulder cannons and a small gun. The shoulder cannons can be mounted directly onto Bluestreak’s shoulders, but once installed, they limit head rotation, which affects posing to some extent.

▼The small gun isn’t just a scaled-down version of the MP version—it seems to be Galaxy Toys’ own design. The hollow sections and the magazine underneath the barrel clearly reference G1 Bluestreak’s weapon. The size looks good in his hands.

▼The transformation process is not difficult and is very similar to Siege Prowl’s. I think this mold is basically an optimized version of the Siege Prowl mold. The resulting car mode looks a bit “rounded” and not as sleek as the G1 version, but it doesn’t look bad. However, the gray seams on the car body are quite noticeable, and there’s visible missing and chipped paint on the hood and roof. I strongly suggest the company improve their paint applications going forward.

▼Due to the transformation design, Bluestreak doesn’t have side windows, but I don’t see this as a major issue. It makes sense for a car to have open windows, and the gap between the two sides also resembles the structure of modern vehicles.

▼There’s also some paint chipping on the rear of the car, and the taillight paint is a bit uneven. When a toy has a good mold, high-quality paint can really create a “greater than the sum of its parts” effect. Conversely, if the mold is good but the paint quality is lacking, the poor paint can drag down the entire figure and prevent the mold’s strengths from being properly appreciated. So I strongly recommend the manufacturer improve the paint quality, as that will definitely elevate the overall product.

▼The shoulder cannons can be mounted on the hood or the roof, which is clearly just a play feature—no real car would ever do that. The two peg holes on the roof are probably reserved for Prowl’s police lights in the future, which makes me look forward to Prowl even more.
![]()
▼To sum up, this new Galaxy Toys ultra-small-scale Bluestreak continues the company’s established strengths. It’s a small yet refined figure, and the added die-cast parts give it a satisfying heft in hand. Its structure is very similar to Siege Prowl, and articulation is comparable to official Generations toys. The weapon loadout includes all the classic Bluestreak accessories. The transformation process is essentially an optimized version of Siege Prowl’s and feels smooth and satisfying. In vehicle mode, however, the paint flaws become more apparent. I recommend the company focus on improving paint quality in future releases. With better paint apps, the overall level of the toy would significantly improve.
