▼It’s worth mentioning that this time, the instruction manual includes both vehicle-to-robot and robot-to-vehicle transformation instructions. This is a very user-friendly feature for those who aren’t good at transforming toys.

▼Off-Road Vehicle Mode：
The vehicle is based on the off-road version of the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, redesigned into a cute “egg car” style. By removing the windows, protective bars, and side mirrors, it can also be restored to a sports car configuration. Since it has to accommodate transformation, the vehicle shell inevitably has to be divided into quite a few sections. But considering that a 12cm robot has to be compressed into a vehicle only 8cm long, this is indeed an essential part of MCT’s unique “Cybertron Compression Technology” that deserves to be appreciated.

▼Using the included Razor and hand cannons on both sides of the rear of the vehicle turns it into the ultimate enhanced-thrust version.

▼The side mirror parts require extra care when installing. If you look closely, you can also see that the mirror surfaces are separate parts. However, because the parts are so tiny, it is extremely difficult to properly deal with the flash and burrs. This is definitely making things a little difficult for the factory workers.

▼He’s Still a Cute Big Baby：
Continuing the previous chibi movie line, this figure is slightly shorter than the previous Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime in terms of character scale, standing about 12cm tall. However, the transformation structure has not been simplified because of the reduced size. Instead, it manages to maintain the appearance of both the egg-car and chibi robot modes, while the robot mode even has surprisingly impressive articulation. The transformation process even splits and compresses the entire front of the vehicle into the large chibi head, while the vehicle body unfolds into the robot’s limbs. Once again, I found myself admiring the engineering while transforming it. The only issue is that the first transformation is a little tight. The yellow painted surfaces and metallic paint applications are very durable, and there was no paint rubbing after transforming it back and forth twice. With the added weight of the alloy parts, both the egg-car and robot modes have a satisfying heft in hand.

▼The head sculpt’s lighting unit is located inside the mouth mask and requires a CR927 battery, which must be supplied separately. The light is icy blue. The first magnetic activation turns it on continuously, while the second activates a breathing effect. It automatically turns off after about one minute. The lighting unit can be activated using the included bonus baby bottle (magnet).

▼Thanks to the transformation joints, the neck has an impressive range of articulation this time.

▼The chest armor and back each have two transformation configurations to choose from.

▼Again thanks to the transformation structure, the waist can not only rotate 360 degrees horizontally, but can also bend forward and lean backward about 75 degrees, which is very helpful for recreating dynamic poses such as dropping down onto one knee.

▼The arms have two-stage horizontal rotation joints, while the hands feature a thumb and three movable fingers. The elbows can bend 90 degrees. Razor and the hand cannons attach directly to the back of the hand armor.

▼The twin hand cannons also contain lighting units and likewise require CR927 button-cell batteries, which must be supplied separately.

▼The lower body compresses the rear of the vehicle into the back of both legs, so the articulation is somewhat more restricted, resulting in relatively limited foot-to-ground contact. The crotch is made of an alloy part, and excessive bending can easily cause it to “lose its pants.”

▼The knees can bend close to 90 degrees at maximum, while the legs can kick outward 90 degrees. There are also horizontal rotation joints at the upper thighs.
