Which is something they obviously failed at and is why I made that comment. Grahf: Okay so the Datsuns and the basic Insecticons made sense. Three vs three with many potential redecos of the Datsuns to do more Insecticons like Zaptrap, Shothole and Salvo or even do some SG stuff or the Deluxe Insecticons.

Yet here we are with the Sideswipe end of the Lambo bros with the Deluxe Insecticons. This doesn't quite line up as nicely.

As per usual, Venom got left out. But other than that, the potential Sideswipe redecos far and away outnumber the Deluxe Insecticons. Unless they're doing Venom and all the Beetras redecos and retools including a new mold for Beet-Papil. Then that can balance things out a bit.

The Hercules beetle retool of Beet-Gadol (Barrage) along with Beet-Papil/Leide I like to consider G1 versions of Saberhorn and Glowstrike from RiD 2015. Even if the Hercules beetle retool is just meant to be a powered up "Barrage".

I'd like to see a third party company go all in on the Deluxe Insecticons (well, except for XTransbots). Do all four as new molds. Then go in and do "Saberhorn" and "Glowstrike" with "Glowstrike" being another new mold. From there do the rest too. There was supposed to be a butterfly and firefly but also a dragonfly, scorpion hornet and spider too. Those last ones barely have character designs for one mode let alone figure prototypes. Still, it would be cool if someone came up with figures for them.

But third party companies barely take any chances anymore.

I don't blame them though. What I do blame on them though is over designing and over pricing when they do make chances so that nobody ends up buying them. So that way they can just shrug their shoulders and blame US for the figures not selling even though they did some stupid shit.

Grahf: Wow, someone is actually doing a Gigastorm!

And it's not just a redeco of Trypticon either as they gave him his horns!

While I hate cubeformers, I do already have Trypticon as well as the pink and blue ones (to go with Beast Box Sakura and Mint colored DIO). So what's one more right?

Now if only Gi One does Gigastorm with their undersized TR Trypticon. It's the perfect size to be a CHUG Gigastorm. Just give him his horns and spots and you're good to go. While we don't have BW Galvatron yet, it'll look great next to Magmatron and both BW Megatron.

Grahf: Yeah the hurricanes are one thing but when wedge tornadoes start touching down everywhere (which aren't the type that normally hit here) shit gets crazy. Apparently there was a particular jet stream above that changed the way the hurricane winds would normally react and that's what whipped up all the tornadoes. We get tornado warns but they're normally skinny ones that don't last long and not the wide wedge ones that the plains normally get.

Grahf: Still not a fan of inanimate object formers but this is small and inoffensive for the price.

Grahf: I just have to say again that Dr. Wu really knocked it out of the part with this one. Even at this small a size it has a level of sophistication in the design that a certain other gun Megatron that's meant to pair with SS86 Optimus could learn a thing or two from. Such clean lines everywhere and properly shaped and proportioned arms. Oh and it managed to include the stock and silencer. Shame no gun and sword though. Couldn't care less about the flail though. Sword all the way for me. G1 Megatron's sword is badass.

However, I don't like the two different style elbows. Visually or functionally. I don't know if I noticed that when these preorders first went up before or not but It's on my mind right now so here we go. Or here we go again depending on if I mentioned that in the comment I first left on the other Dr. Wu Megatron preorder.

Still want a "Safety" Lava Megatron deco. The orange and metallic blue together is garrish yet beautiful at the same time. I would also get one based on MP Megatron gold version in gold and black with purple where the red normally goes. It almost makes me want to track down that original MP Megatron mold just to get that deco. Gold and purple look amazingly regal together. These two, Megaplex and the Chrono-Q black version should definately be standard redecos for G1 Megatron. It's just so odd that not even Megaplex gets done. He's a whole different character they can do from a Megatron mold but you never see him. Sure G1 Megaplex is just Takara G1 Megatron but still, flat grey and black with the blue instead of silver and black with red is just as amazing a color scheme.

Grahf: It's great that these are finally on discount here but both combined are still more than other places.

Again, it's a decent set though. Feet fit too loose for my tastes but it's not too bad and it's a mileage may vary sort of thing.

Still though, I'd love another shot at the Abyss oversized knockoff of the older Generations deluxe figure than my upgraded SSGE voyager. I have the SG colors of that one and I love it. I just never got around to getting the standard, Nemesis or white ones though before they all just up and disappeared off Ebay one day. One day multiple sellers still had them and the next they were all gone everywhere and nobody seems to remember them existing. I'm not even kidding. I missed them disappearing by like a week when I remembered I wanted the rest.
