Big Firebird & Bird/Binary Bird of Blood Full Armor Model Kit
Grahf: It looks like a Skygrasper with a Striker pack equipped from Gundam Seed that turns into Wanzer from the Front Mission series.

With the additional parts it looks like it can also turn into Wyverion from Webdiver, a Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell and a Blade Liger from Zoids? Metalgarurumon from Digimon? Transmetal 2 Cheetor? A BuCue from Gundam Seed?

Not a bad price overall. I might be down for this.
[Pre-Order] Robot Toys RT-D01 Transformer Beast Wars Lord Venatagon Scorponok
Grahf: Did they design a Scorponok so good that they decided to change it to a "MP" release instead?

That's what it looks like anyway.

It's weird for a company to change scales like that but I don't mind when it comes to BW "MP" figures. This will look pretty good next to Terrorsaur and the rest.

However this needs maybe a little more time to simmer. I don't know what exactly but just a slight overall tweak will do. Very small. But this might just be because we're looking at a prototype. The final copy with the final paintwork might be all I'm thinking is "wrong" with this. But again, there's nothing really wrong. Just something I can't quite put my finger on is slightly off.

Nope I found it, it's the lack of gold paint on the shins, forearms and head as well as the lack of red on the tail blade. A few other colors differences here and there too. So it is just because it's the first look that's throwing me off and once it gets the full paint layout it will be fine.

But damn, they came real close on the first try with pretty much just plastic colors that I had to look up the character model to see what little was off about it.

I was excited before but now I'm very much looking forward to this.

But can maybe someone FINALLY do an Airazor now please? I'll take one any scale or size. I have the Beast Alliance and LiJiang already along with all the Kenner/Hasbro and Takara versions except that damn VHS release of the original figure as it has a stupid price usually. Yes, that includes Takara Metals Airazor to go with both blue and pink Kenner Transmetal Airazor figures. I like the pink TM the best, the Metals one then the blue TM. The FOX Kids TM is pretty good too and MIstress Death, the Armada retool, is amazing.

Please can someone do Unicron's Horsemen finally!!! TransArt can do Pestilence, Armada Cheetor, which I hope they do at some point alongside Armada Predacon.

Ukhupa: I want whomever does a Masterpiece level Airazor to use the mainline Rise of the Beasts Deluxe figure's conversion scheme as an inspiration. It nails the look in both modes and doesn't resort to the tried, but not convincing "robot squatting and clearly visible in alt mode" transformation.

Grahf: That's been one of my favorite transformations for a bird since the Classics Minicon Dreadwing. RotB deluxe Airazor does it better though. I mean, it's a deluxe compared to a Minicon so it's not really a fair comparison. If whoever does an Airazor based on that deluxe thinks about it ahead of time when designing it, they could also get Beast Machines Nightscream from that base mold too.
Black Mamba Transformers: Beast Wars DB-01 Metal Variant Dinobot II
Grahf: Jobby's review doesn't really instill confidence in the "update" version.

Like he went on about how shoulder pad breakage but didn't go into further detail about all the shit that happened when he was trying to transform it.

I mean did the parts just pop off and go back on just as easily? Did the parts pop off at a place they shouldn't have like a pin or screw but still went back on easily? Or did the parts literally brake but were still usable?

Then there were the problems with certain parts.

Were the parts not tolerenced well? Were the parts just floppy? Were the instructions not good? Does Jobby just suck at transforming things?

As good as his videos are, there's things his videos really lack. Guess I'll just have to wait for another reviewer.

Regardless, there's only one set of replacement shoulder pads. If they break easily like that and they know it then one extra set isn't going to be enough. I'm not going to bother with a figure like that at that point. Shame, I did still want to get this one too.
FansToys FT-59 Sovereign Galvatron 2.0 Version
Grahf: Interesting.

I'm just not quite sure what I feel about this yet though.

I hate the hyper toon aesthetic this is going for thanks to Takara going for that with MP. But for Galvatron that works.

Maybe I can make a better opinion on this after seeing it further along. As is, that $30 deposit is going to keep me away for a bit until I see more.
Mecha Invasion GLA03 & GLA04 Giant Legion Heavy Builder Haul & Hook Set of 2
Grahf: That pic without the combiner legs is hilarious.

However what a wasted opportunity to swap Long Haul and Hook's spots for combined mode. They swapped the arms and legs and even the sides they're supposed to be on (as far as the pics with the arms show) so you'd think they'd swap the torso bots so that Hook was the hips and lower torso and Long Haul was the upper torso, head and shoulders. Then also swap the combiner front to back. So the dump truck bed would be the chest instead of the back and the crane would be the...on second thought, maybe don't do that lol. We don't need another robot with a boner like G1 Scattershot or ToQger. Well, I guess it would be more like Crain Brain than anything though huh? It would bring a whole new meaning to "here comes the boom".

Just read the GoBots wiki page for Crain Brain and whoever typed it must not have ANY sense of humor. Like at all. What a fun sucker. Perhaps they're the one with a "poor grasp of reality". Lighten up dude. I bet they're fun at parties.

So who's hoping for a SH Figuarts for Zorc Necrophades from YuGiOh? You know, the giant monster with a dragon neck for a dong. Like why hasn't Zorc been made into a crappy Pop figure? It's Bakura's top monster. You got Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Blue Eyes White Dragon, Red Eyes Black Dragon, Exodia, Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Executive Producer, Mega Ultra Chicken and Zorc Necrophades with the dragon boner. He'll fit right in with the rest of them...in America!
4th Party G1 Sixshot
Grahf: Did you guys see that after all these years since Titans Return, a company decided to not only replace the robot and wolf heads but they replaced the pelvis flaps, thighs and the entire arms.

Just out of nowhere I check the usual store on Ebay to see if any new upgrade kits came out and there was just a random kit up there to replace half of your Titans Return Sixshot. Just make a new figure at that point lol.

It's just crazy though.

I get the robot head as even I just recently changed that out with the kit with the swords and gun fillers.

The wolf head makes so much sense too as it doesn't have the Titanmaster gap and has articulation since it doesn't have to double as a cockpit either.

But replacing the thighs requires popping pins. The flat headed kind I think and those are obnoxious.

Then they want you to replace the entire arms. While easier, it's the entire things. This changes the aesthetic of the figure and really changes the color. I like the articulated actual wolf feet but swapping the entre arms is a little much.

And finally the green front pelvis flaps. Why?

I don't know man, it's just so odd to see something like this for a figure from like NINE years ago. Damn. Yet DNA is refusing to do any reissues unless Hasbro or Takara reissues the base figures. Just ignore the literal hundreds of people begging for those reissues weekly but you know, ignoring your audience's demand for your actual good kits is a great business idea right? Maybe stop putting out shit kits with useless pieces and you wouldn't be having problems selling your kits.
Craftsman Toys DJS-02D Tacticlord Jette & DJS-02E Tacticlord Caro Set of 2
Grahf: I love the Technobots and Computron don't get me wrong. It's just that I love Tigerhawk more. So I'd rather they finished that first and then did the Technobots.

But it seems as though they've completely forgotten about Tigerhawk if the lack of anything on him at the convention a few days ago is any indication. Color pics of Nosecone but nothing for Tigerhawk. Looks like I'm going to have to cancel that preorder and get my points back.
[Coming Soon] Siyang Culture Y-C002 Heidelberg Scorponok
Grahf: Wow this left so little an impression on my last year that I completely forgot about it.

Again though;

...but why?

This was NOT the next titan for them to do after Metroplex.

It's not big enough to matter and it's not small enough to be Marvel Comics Scorponok.

I wish someone would just make more roughly commander/combiner sized titans. I LOVE that Gi One Trypticon and want the other titans to be made around that same size. Just don't forget the smaller components like Gi One did. It looks so weird without Full Tilt on the chest. But otherwise it's amazing.
DNA Design DK-01 Upgrade Kits for CW Devastator
DarthFellator: So DNA does it again with an ABSURDLY OVERPRICED upgrade kit.  Granted, NICE UPGRADES, creative and offering some aesthetic choices, but $64 is just TOO MUCH.  Hoping with the change coming to the US as of January, that we will see some price reductions on some of this stuff...fingers crossed

DarthFellator: not familiar with renderform...i have seen nonnef...don't recall but feeling like they were also a bit pricey? could be wrong though...side note..i'm a fan of the shockwavelabs...although the electronics are faulty often and drain the batteries even when not in use... but yeah...i LOVE UPGRADEs...i just LOVE THEM MORE when they are AFFORDABLE and like $5-$30....THAT to me is reasonable for an upgrade to an already $25-$150 toy....

By Nov 16,2024 00:57:11

Grahf: The prices are getting crazy. DNA wants $65 for a kit to upgrade a $35 figure. Legacy Animated Optimus Prime and The Motor Master that is. And the end result is no better overall than the $55 Siege Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime. It's a great kit don't get me wrong, it's just not $65 good. It's barely $45 good. I'd say $35 would've been the perfect price. The same price as the base figure. Oh and Renderform is a similar but smaller company to Nonnef. Renderform mainly does heads or weapons but they will also do a few character conversion kits too with new chests and other smaller pieces along with the heads and weapons. Some of their stuff doesn't come painted though. They currently have a Crasher head for Velocitron Crasher, a conversion kit for Cyberverse/Earthspark deluxe Shockwave to Animated Shockwave/Longarm, a conversion kit for Kingdom Tigatron to Skeletor/Panthor and a conversion kit to turn Earthspark deluxe Optimus Prime into Energon Rodimus. Only the Crasher head is painted as it's not a conversion kit. They should also have a bunch of Diaclone heads available for the Skids and Trailbreaker molds but they're not listed on their new store currently. If you look at their older kits, you'll recognize them even if you didn't know their name.
Zeta Toys EX-09 Ford Fortress Maximus Metallic Version
Santy 1970: Here's a picture next to Optimus prime so you can see the sign.
Grahf: So roughly about SS86 Ultra Magnus sized. Still a little shorter than what I'd want but that's not too bad for a Marvel Comics Fortress Maximus. Thanks for the only picture here that actually matters.
