JTBoo: Man, this is the perfect not-Groove as far as I can tell. Groove is obviously a tough character to get right and to see him made with such good proportions, I imagine MMC took a lot of time designing Incertus for us. I might not love the character or the aesthetics of the character all that much but MMC has done sensational IMO. I never expected to see this character done so well, TBH. I was ready to assume Groove was always going to look skinny, frail and distastefully disproportionate to his on-screen likeness.
MMC, IMO, has carefully perfected Groove's appearance, down to the mufflers on his legs. Proportions appear spot-on. The only minor squabble I have is (besides the obvious price I am not looking forward to *hah*) that his arms are over saturated in silver, whereas the anime they appear to be more of a light gray. His arms match his tailpipes, though, and the color choice looks good for what they represent.
MMC has been impressing me a lot of late and one thing they have been getting right, besides appearances, is articulation. I hope they get in the ab crunch in this guy. It's hard to imagine that other companies have struggled so much with this character (or they just didn't care to try) and MMC has even thrown in the All-Built-In gimmick. I am not a fan of ABI, but I think it is a shame that MMC has completed the task and improvised the ABI mechanic.
Personally, I think all is well even if MMC goes through and paints Incertus as they have shown. I never paid close enough attention to notice his arms matching his pipes and I think it's neat that MMC did notice this detail! (Thank you MMC!) I think they have made their color choice too noticeable but I am fine whether they change it or don't. 5-stars on what seems to be a super tough character to perfect from the looks of other offerings.
