▼Today I’m bringing you YOLOPARK’s new release: AMK PRO Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Megatron (Tank mode). Finally, following their figures from the spin-offs and Transformers 7, YOLOPARK has turned their attention to the first movie trilogy—and the very first figure is the highly popular Transformers 2 Megatron. There actually aren’t that many figures on the market of this version of Megatron, especially ones like this that focus purely on screen accuracy without transformation. The launch of AMK PRO ROTF Megatron to some extent fills that gap. How does the figure perform? Let’s find out in this review.
The box continues the consistent YOLOPARK AMK PRO live-action movie series style, with a slipcover. The slipcover design features an image of Megatron’s finished figure as the main visual, alongside the YOLOPARK logo and the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie logo. I think this time the product image has a particularly strong sense of impact—it’s eye-catching, the kind that makes me pay extra attention even among similar products. The back of the box mainly displays Megatron’s skeleton, armor parts, the combined effect, and some manufacturing information.

▼Under the slipcover, the box design features a 2D-style laser line sketch of Megatron and his English name. This has been a standard feature of the AMK PRO live-action movie line.

▼Contents include four sprues of parts. Since this is a pre-assembled model, you just need to follow the instructions for some light assembly—nothing too demanding. This time YOLOPARK upgraded the internal skeleton to be almost entirely die-cast metal. Once assembled and held in hand, the most direct impression compared with past products is that it’s noticeably heavier, with a real sense of weight.
The finished product includes the Megatron figure, his claw cannon, a base, stand, and a magnetic logo. This Megatron is also the largest figure in the YOLOPARK AMK PRO line to date.

▼The head sculpt is a little wider compared to the movie design, emphasizing that brutish, muscular face. The pupils and teeth are all finely sculpted. The armor uses full metallic paint applications, with an added weathered effect similar to corroded metal soaked in seawater. If you’ve been to the seaside, you might have seen boats on the shore with metal structures rusted from long exposure to salt water—that’s exactly the effect on this Megatron. The eyes include the signature light-up feature, glowing red, with three modes: steady, flashing, and breathing.

▼The chest armor is composed of layered parts. Sharp Cybertronian-style plates are paired with deep grooves and mechanical details, with paint effects in the gaps that simulate dirt and grime.

▼A major feature of ROTF Megatron is the asymmetrical design, since many of his parts came from Scrapmetal after his resurrection—so they’re not original. After all, a surgeon’s job is just to keep you alive, not to worry about whether the parts are stock.
The right shoulder armor is sharp and pointed, while the left is rounder. Both sides have Cybertronian script painted on. The arms are completely different in design: the left upper arm even has inward-facing spikes. The hands are also entirely different in sculpt, with nearly every finger individually articulated—something rare in past ROTF Megatron toys.

▼The legs faithfully recreate ROTF Megatron’s triple treads and reverse-joint structure. The large knee armor and the silver armor on the sides of the feet are made of die-cast metal. This not only feels premium but also helps balance the figure for standing poses.
Speaking of which—Megatron in the first film transformed into a jet, not a tank, so he didn’t originally have treads. The treads here were clearly cobbled together from scavenged parts during his resurrection. Official lore says they came from Scrapmetal, but in the film the model used was Scrapper, who doesn’t actually have treads—so where the treads came from is probably just a continuity bug.

▼Since there’s no transformation to consider, the back design balances accuracy and aesthetics. Megatron’s dual thrusters on the back and the ones on the legs are all separate parts, with metallic gold paint inside. The exposed spine is fully sculpted, and thanks to layered parts, the skeleton doesn’t show through inappropriately. The silver armor on the backs of the calves also has Cybertronian markings. YOLOPARK has always been commendable in not cutting corners even on the rear side of their figures.

▼This Megatron gets another boost in articulation—up to 80 joints total! I can’t even imagine how many joints YOLOPARK would give to The Fallen if they make him someday.
The head can rotate and tilt up about 45°, and the jaw can open. Arms can rotate vertically and lift outward past 90°. The shoulders have butterfly joints to swing forward. The biceps rotate, elbows bend nearly 180°, forearms rotate, and wrists rotate. The hands are fully articulated—because of Megatron’s unusual hand structure, the articulation doesn’t follow conventional designs, but in general, each finger has one or two directional joints for expressive posing.

▼The chest and abdomen have two joints allowing forward crunch. The waist can rotate. Legs can kick forward and sideways past 90°, and back almost 90°. Thighs rotate, knees bend about 90°. Feet rotate, tilt in multiple directions, and the hydraulic pistons in the ankles move in sync with forward/back motion. Considering ROTF Megatron’s design is notoriously hard to articulate, the fact that this figure achieves articulation on par with other poseable models is very satisfying. Posing is no problem.

▼Megatron’s weapon is his iconic claw cannon—the one that killed Optimus once, killed Sam once, and also half-killed himself. Its battle record is impressive.
In the film, the claw cannon had two modes: one with the large blades folded away for ranged attacks, and one with the blades extended for close combat (as seen in the forest battle and the final fight alongside The Fallen). The figure reproduces the extended-blade mode. The two blades have joints to adjust their angle, and the cannon has a built-in light-up feature with blue LEDs, also with steady, flashing, and breathing modes. The flashing mode even mimics the firing effect. To equip it, you remove Megatron’s right forearm and attach the claw cannon—giving him an even more powerful presence.

▼The included base and stand follow the classic design, with the upgraded snake-shaped stand used in recent products. It connects directly to the figure’s body for stronger support.

▼As the debut product of YOLOPARK’s AMK PRO live-action movie trilogy line, this ROTF Megatron continues the series’ full-paint and light-up standards, while pushing both size and articulation to the current maximum. The sculpt is screen-accurate, the paintwork is meticulous, and the articulation is excellent. Thanks to the die-cast joints, the tension is perfectly balanced, making it ideal for casual handling and posing.
Given the scarcity of ROTF Megatron figures on the market, and considering AMK PRO ROTF Megatron’s strong cost-performance ratio compared to other figures in the same class, I highly recommend this Megatron.
