Yolopark AMK Pro Series Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Mirage Pre-Assembled Model Kit

The packaging of this toy is largely consistent with the style of previous Transformers Optimus Prime packaging, and it’s expected that future AMK Pro live-action movie character toys will follow this same design. The packaging structure involves a paper sleeve over the toy box, with the largest image on the sleeve being of the actual figure of Mirage. This scene is a highlight from his appearance in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, specifically the part where his clone fights Scourge.

▼On the top left of the box, the AMK Pro series label and the word "Alloy" are printed, with the YOLOPARK logo on the top right. Below, the name "Mirage" and the toy category are listed. I believe the manufacturer could consider making the "Alloy" text more intricate in future designs, and perhaps feature the "Transformers" logo or the movie title Transformers: Rise of the Beasts on the front for a more intuitive look.
Inside the sleeve, the toy box’s front features a 2D line drawing of Mirage’s bust, enhanced with a laser-like effect. Below the line drawing, the name "Mirage" is prominently displayed.



▼This time, Mirage comes with only three sprues of parts, one of which contains the weapons and base. This means that only two sprues contribute to the main assembly of the toy, making the build process quite simple.



▼The head sculpt of Mirage is highly accurate, with the asymmetrical helmet and smiling expression carefully rendered. By installing batteries, the eyes of the head sculpt light up. Additionally, the base has a magnetic Autobot logo that can switch the light modes. These modes include the familiar constant-on, flashing, and breathing light effects.
The lighting now uses two batteries instead of one, connected by a plastic film. The issue here is that the plastic film can affect the electrical contact, which may result in poor connection during installation. For optimal conductivity, the plastic film needs to be removed, but this makes the installation process a bit more cumbersome. I hope the manufacturer can optimize this battery setup in future products and consider using a single battery instead.



▼The two large chest plates are made of alloy, which adds a substantial tactile feel when handling the toy. The fan on the abdomen is a separate part, with the blades featuring a weathered paint effect. It seems that the fan also has a bearing-like structure inside, and spinning the fan quickly gives it some movement, which is quite satisfying and stress-relieving.



▼The circular vehicle lights on the shoulder armor are transparent, in line with the vehicle design. The diamond-shaped armor on the outer side of the upper arm is a separate piece, with two external hydraulic pistons inside. The forearms are covered in intricate armor and piping details, with high-quality metallic paint. The hands are notably battle-damaged, and instead of using interchangeable parts, the hands are articulated—something we’ll discuss in more detail later.



▼The thigh armor is a key visual feature for this figure, with the red and blue paint replicating the real vehicle's design. The golden parts on the lower legs not only feature standard metallic paint but also include weathering effects like scratches and dirt on the surface and corners.



▼Because transformation is not required, the back design can focus entirely on aesthetics. There is a pair of wheels on the back and built-in wheels on the lower legs. The tires are made of rubber, and the hubs have a weathered paint effect. The wheels are also fully articulated.



▼The toy's neck has two joints, allowing for smooth head rotation, tilting, and looking up or down. The shoulders feature ball joints that allow the arms to extend forward. The arms can rotate vertically and can be raised to about 90 degrees. The upper arms rotate, and the elbows bend around 120 degrees. The wrists rotate, and the hands have adjustable angles. The thumb has a ball joint at the base, while the index and middle fingers are one articulated piece, and the ring and pinky fingers are another. Each finger set has two directional joints.



▼The waist can rotate, and the abdomen can bend forward, revealing mechanical details on the back. The legs can kick forward and sideways about 90 degrees and backward around 30 degrees. The upper thighs can rotate, though the thigh swivel joints are prone to coming loose during play, which could use some improvement. The knees bend far beyond 90 degrees, revealing more mechanical details. The ankles can move side to side, and the feet rotate, with the ability to adjust up and down. The front of the foot has a slight bend, which also activates hydraulic piston linkage.
The overall poseability of Mirage is quite impressive—much better than standard transforming toys. Due to the design, there are very few parts that interfere with articulation, making it easy to pose. Additionally, this is the first time that alloy parts have been integrated into the skeleton, improving the tightness of the toy. It’s clear that YOLOPARK values feedback from players and adjusts their future product development based on this, which contributes to a long-lasting brand.



▼Mirage’s weapons are a pair of twin guns. To switch them out, you need to remove the articulated hands and attach the guns. The size of these guns is in proper proportion, unlike previous Mirage figures where the guns were too small. For the first time, YOLOPARK has added a lighting effect to the weapons. The installation and lighting mode switching for the weapons are similar to those for the head sculpt, with the same three modes: constant-on, flashing, and breathing. The constant-on mode replicates the moment of firing, the flashing mode mimics continuous gunfire, and the breathing light simulates the charging of the weapon. Overall, the effect looks great.



▼The structure of the base and stand is very similar to the 5th-column Transformers series. The metal tube stand is very sturdy and can easily support the entire toy. The magnetic Autobot logo that controls the toy’s lighting can also be placed on the base.



▼In conclusion, the YOLOPARK AMK PRO Mirage is currently the most accurate Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Mirage toy on the market, bar none. The toy features near full coverage of metallic paint, the first-ever inclusion of alloy parts in the skeleton, and the debut of a lighting mechanism in the weapons. The toy's articulation is excellent, and the weapons used in the movie are well-represented. Considering the rarity of Rise of the Beasts Mirage toys on the market, I highly recommend this YOLOPARK Mirage.
