Yolopark AMK Pro Series Transformers: The Last Knight Optimus Prime Pre-Assembled Model Kit

▲The packaging of this Knight Optimus Prime has been significantly upgraded compared to all previous products. The appearance no longer resembles a pre-assembled model but rather a finished articulated figure. The sleeve features a large image of the actual Knight Optimus Prime figure occupying most of the space. The Yolopark logo is in the top-right corner, the AMK PRO series emblem is in the top-left, and Hasbro’s logo is in the bottom-right, indicating that the toy is officially licensed.

▲Inside the sleeve, the box features a 2D illustration of Knight Optimus Prime, enhanced with a laser-like effect. The back of the box showcases 2D scan images of Knight Optimus Prime from front and rear perspectives. It’s worth noting how beautifully this packaging has been designed.

▲This Knight Optimus Prime comes with four sprues containing numerous parts. However, assembly is not difficult thanks to the well-organized sprue layout. Following the instructions ensures a smooth assembly process. The assembled figure includes the main body of Knight Optimus Prime, a base and stand, three pairs of interchangeable hands, a set of head replacement parts, a battery, a left arm replacement armor, a great sword, a shield, arm blades, and several connectors. Additionally, it comes with an instruction manual and an after-sales card for assembly and post-purchase support.

▲This Knight Optimus Prime boasts exceptional accuracy, with proportions that perfectly capture the essence of the character from the film. The head sculpt primarily features a metallic silver finish, accented with blue paint and light weathering. The default design is the faceplate, which can be swapped for a mouth face using replacement parts. Unlike many other movie Optimus Prime figures where the mouth face often appears awkward, Yolopark has managed to capture a natural and expressive look. Once the battery is installed, the eyes can light up, and even the intricate details of the pupils become visible when illuminated.

▲Using the magnet embedded in the Autobot insignia, you can control the eye light modes: steady on, flashing, and breathing. The breathing mode, in particular, delivers the most impressive effect.

▲By swapping a set of face parts, Optimus Prime’s head can transform into his brainwashed appearance from “Transformers: The Last Knight.” However, it’s a pity that the eye light cannot change to purple. Hopefully, the manufacturer considers releasing a Nemesis Prime version in the future.

▲The chest armor features intricate details, with weathered red edges and well-executed silver armor and cable details. Despite being a pre-assembled toy, these parts are anything but simplified. The tiny Autobot emblem in the center of the chest is printed crisply, and the overlapping gold armor plates on the abdomen exhibit an excellent sense of depth.

▲The shoulder armor faithfully replicates the triangular design with hooks seen in the film. On the front, Cybertronian text is printed, and the edges feature chipped paint and battle-damage effects. The upper arm armor is made of die-cast metal, and the elbow armor is designed as a separate piece to effectively conceal gaps during articulation. The forearm armor design reflects the upgraded look from “Transformers: Age of Extinction” when Optimus Prime received the Sword of Judgment. It features layered blue armor with red flame patterns and weathered paint effects.

▲The default hand type is semi-articulated, with a ball-jointed thumb. The index and middle fingers, as well as the ring and pinky fingers, move as groups. Each finger has three fixed-direction joints. By swapping parts, you can replace the hands with open hands, a pointing hand, or weapon-holding hands.

▲The leg armor pieces are generally large. The thigh area features a cable-like embossed design with gold, silver, and red paint applications, and the inner parts of the legs are made of die-cast metal. The shin armor boasts a strong sense of layering, with some parts designed as raised and hollowed-out structures.

▲Since there is no need to accommodate transformation, the figure’s back is richly detailed. The exhaust pipe details on the torso’s back are clearly visible. The layered armor structure conveys a sense of power, with silver parts featuring oil-stain weathering effects. The back of the thighs has red-painted, muscle-like details, and the red-and-blue armor on the calves bulges outward. Below the armor, there is a visible spring mechanism that further emphasizes the sense of strength.

▲The figure’s neck has two joints, allowing the head sculpt to rotate about 45 degrees to each side, tilt up and down, and adjust the vertical angle. The shoulders include butterfly joints, enabling forward and backward arm movement. The arms can rotate vertically and raise horizontally to about 90 degrees. The upper arm can rotate horizontally, though inward rotation is limited due to a hook-like structure. The elbows have double joints, allowing for a bend well beyond 90 degrees. Adjusting the elbow armor can conceal the gaps created during bending. The wrists are ball-jointed, allowing for rotation and angle adjustments.

▲The waist can tilt forward, lean backward, and shift side to side, with a rotation range of about 45 degrees to each side. By extending the leg joints, the range of leg articulation can be maximized. The legs can kick forward and backward well beyond 90 degrees, with side kicks reaching approximately 90 degrees. The thighs can perform slight horizontal rotations. The knees feature double joints, allowing for a bend far exceeding 90 degrees. The feet have full ground contact capability in all directions, and the front of the foot includes a fixed joint that enables the toes to tilt upward.

The figure’s articulation is quite impressive. Although the abundance of armor typical of live-action movie characters inevitably causes some interference, posing it in standard positions is still no issue. Additionally, the die-cast feet ensure excellent stability when standing.

▼The signature greatsword and shield of Knight Optimus Prime are included, with both the sword and shield featuring Cybertronian inscriptions. To hold the greatsword, a specialized hand must be swapped in, and the shield can only be mounted on the left arm. To maintain the integrity of the left arm’s armor in its normal form, equipping the shield requires swapping the arm guard and attaching connectors for mounting. It would have been even better if the shield could transform into its cannon mode as depicted in Transformers: Age of Extinction.

▼By swapping out the back parts, Optimus Prime can carry the sword, the shield, or both together on his back—this is a signature feature of Knight Optimus Prime.

▼After replacing the left arm armor, you can attach the arm blade that Knight Optimus Prime used against Bumblebee in Transformers: The Last Knight. The arm blade features the same battle-worn and weathered detailing consistent with the figure’s overall design. It would have been even better if the set included accessories like the staff and small blaster from The Last Knight. Hopefully, if they release a Nemesis Prime version in the future, these accessories will be added.

The figure itself contains a significant amount of die-cast metal parts, giving it considerable weight. However, the stand is sturdy enough to support the figure without any issues, so there’s no need to worry about stability.
