jdecelles: It is awesome that we are getting a KO G1 Hound that is faithful to the original toy.

However RIGHT NOW there is a Walmart G1 Reissue Hound in 86 movie colors that has an MSRP of $35 and rolling out to stores nation-wide, so why is this knock-off version $50? I am happy that these KO companies are making versions of these characters available again because Hasbro has been pretty stingy with G1 reissues despite the demand for them, however we're living in a strange world when the knock-offs are higher priced than the official reissues.

I like the chrome accessories that come with this version of the toy, but for now I am going to try and get the Walmart G1 reissue because it is basically the same toy and significantly cheaper.

ssjgoku22: Exactly what I was thinking. This should be way cheaper as the official at Walmart is cheaper than this.

wrx20l: Paint, sculpt and overall build are very well done. Solid 4+ stars stuff, but the lack of weapons storage is a demerit. The prevalence of plastic/lack of diecast is another demerit. But my biggest issue is the impossible to rotate green lion shoulder. The combined figure goes together easily enough, no issues for me like some of those seen in early YT reviews. However, the green lions rotation is either frozen or way, way too tight. After watching YT reviews and hearing of myriad reports of 3-0 having to manage after sales replacements, I haven't tried to apply any real force for fear of stripping out the shoulders plastic fittings. It's a shame, because the look and paint is on par with the SOC GoLion/Voltron, if in a much less hefty package. The very slight difference in height to the SOC is a weird move as well, but it's so slight as to be impossible to notice, once they're posed on a shelf in something other than an A-stance.

This is actually my first ever 3-0 figure purchase. If this is the best they can do at this price point, it very well may be my last.

ssjgoku22: I appreciate your honest review. You are 100% correct. For the price that this costs, it should be perfect. I'm sticking with my SoC because the quality seems better than this.
